Bank robber Gino Strabliggi spent ten years in prison, so he had plenty of time to reflect. He decided to continue living honestly. His tutor, Cazaneuve, believed in him, so he argued for Gino's parole. Not only is his wife waiting for him, but also his former cronies. The ex-criminal is determined not to slip into his old ways, and refuses contact with the underworld. He works in a print shop, still in contact with the wise Cazaneuve. One day, however, a cruel fate strikes - Gino loses the woman he loves. Moreover, the police inspector who once put him behind bars is after him. Convinced that people cannot change fundamentally, he spies on Gino at every turn...

Film Locations

The prison in Two Men in the City was located in the middle of Paris and was demolished in 1974, a year after filming. Today, its site is the Square de la Roquette park on the street of the same name. The shots of Montpellier were actually filmed in this city. Here you will find, for example, the printing house where Gino worked.
