In the 1970s, Marseille was an important connection in the drug trade leading to US. Pierre Michel was nominated police magistrate with the task to deal with the local drug mafia. During his short career, he gradually managed to arrest members of the mafia and uncover many laboratories. However, he finds out that the drug trade extends to the highest levels of society.
