Surgeon Julien Dandieu does not distinguish between French, Germans, partisans or communists, he wants to save lives at the end of the war. But he feels that Montauban is not safe, so he sends his wife Clara and his 13-year-old daughter Florence to the countryside, to the chateau where he grew up as a boy.

However, when he goes to visit them a few days later, he finds that his home has been occupied by the Germans, who are taking revenge on everyone and everything at the end of the war. Julian decides to do the only thing left to him: revenge.

Film locations

The Old Gun was actually filmed in the town of Montauban. Two castles played Julian's birthplace: the Château de Bonaguil and the Châteaux de Bruniquel.
