The main character of this action-adventure story is a young New York man, Christopher Dubois, who, with his friends, robs a local mobster and accidentally ends up aboard a gun-running ship while on the run from his killers. They want to get rid of him, but he is saved from death in the teeth of sharks by an attack of pirates led by the dashing robber Dobbs. Chris joins the pirates and continues his journey with them, hoping to make it back to New York. However, Dobbds drops him off on Siam Island where he sells his loot to an old customer, martial arts master Khao. He notices his skill when it comes to martial arts and includes him among his charges. Six months later, Chris meets Dobbs again and asks him to help him get to a Tibetan monastery where a big martial arts tournament is to be held. Fighters from all over the world are coming, and the grand prize is to be a large dragon statue made entirely of pure gold. Dobbs agrees, but because he doesn't believe in Chris' victory, he hatches his own plan to get his hands on the golden statue. And while he plots a daring heist, Chris Dubois fights his way through a series of duels to the final confrontation, where the brutal assassin, the Mongolian warlord Khan, awaits.
