Three travestites, Vida, Noxeema and Chi-Chi, travel by car across the USA (from New York to California) to the finals of a national gay travesty beauty pageant. Due to a malfunctioning car, they must involuntarily spend a few days in the backwater town of Snyderville, where they clearly no longer fit in. However, they manage to encourage the local women to be more confident, and teach a lesson to the local men who treat women in an overbearing and lecherous manner. With their presence, the trio of travesties will also influence the traditional Strawberry Festival, which is currently taking place in Snyderville.
