After the fantastic discovery of millions of years old D.N.A., a group of ambitious scientists attempt to create a nature park with living prehistoric animals on a remote desert island. The project is backed by millionaire John Hammond (Richard Attenborough), who, just before Jurassic Park opens to the public, invites his two grandchildren, a famous paleontologist and his girlfriend, and other experts to visit. Their quiet visit quickly turns into a nightmare after one of the employees steals dinosaur embryos in the hope of making a fat profit from a competitor. In order to easily escape the park, he disables the security systems and thus the electricity-powered fence enclosing the entire Jurassic Park. The dinosaurs are released into the wild and the battle between humans and the Mesozoic monsters begins.
