Kate Forster after parting with the guy decides to move out of the rental house to start everything from scratch, but at the same time to be closer to work. She leaves a letter in the mailbox for the next tenant, explaining to him some of the nuances. The new tenant is Alex Wyler, a lonely architect whose father built this beautiful house. He reads the message, but can not understand why the reality, described by Kate, does not coincide with his reality. This prompts Alex to write the answer. After a few days of correspondence, the characters understand that they live at different times: hi is in 2004, she is in 2006. And only a mysterious mail box serves as their connecting bridge.
