Kolia lives in a small town near the Barents Sea in northern Russia. Next door to the house where he lives with his young wife Lilya and his son from his first marriage, he has his own car repair shop. But the mayor of the nearby town, Vadim Shelevyat, wants to deprive him of his house, land and job. Kolia will not be bought, he is adamant and refuses to give up. Not only the property and his own land, but also all the beauty that has surrounded him since childhood. Vadim is becoming more and more aggressive.
