This movie is based on the true story of Frank Abagnale. After the divorce of his parents Frank escapes his home. In order to survive he we will successfully pretend to be a commercial airline pilot, a doctor, even a lawyer, and Despite his young age, Frank will quickly become a wealthy man. Yet, such an imposture cannot remain un noticed forever and Frank's activity will soon alert the FBI. Agent Hanratty is in charge of the investigation and he will chase the young criminal across the US, in vain. It is only when Frank is caught and emprissoned by the French police in Marseille that Hanratty will gets in hands on him to bring him back to America.
