There is said to be fabulous wealth hidden at Silver Lake, guarded by the spirits of the ancient Indians. The treacherous bandits believe the treasure really exists, and are not shy of murder when they scramble to get a road map to it. However, they are thwarted by Vinnetou and Old Shatterhand. Through a devilish ruse, Brinkey's gang nevertheless learns of the path to Silver Lake, and a dramatic race against time begins: who will get through the hostile Utah territory first and retrieve the legendary treasure?

One of the most popular episodes about a duo embodying goodness and justice, Treasure on Silver Lake was also filmed in Croatia. The beautiful lakes can be found in the very attractive tourist area of Plitvice Lakes.
