The Cuban ambassador is shot dead in New York. The CIA identifies Simone Rosset as the assassin shooter. To prevent further possible attacks during the Cuban-American Conference in Prague, the CIA sends agent Michael Dane to find the shooter and hand him over to the CIA. Michael thus returns to his mother's homeland and reunites with his friend and colleague Alex Reed. Michael and Alex find Simona, who lives in Prague under the name Jana Mitlová, who owns a café in the city centre with her friend. But catching her is not as easy as it first seems. When Michael finally manages to capture Simona and takes her to hand her over, he finds that things are different than he was told. At the handover, the plot is already clear and Michael and Simona go into hiding in Alex's apartment. Moments later, they are discovered and Simone is shot. Michael discovers that the traitor is his friend Alex. Since the supposed shooter was not the real one, he tries to foil another shooting at the opening of the conference. He eventually succeeds in doing so when he apprehends the shooter and discovers his friend, Alex Reed.
