Set in the early 1900s, the film follows James Matthew Barrie (Johnny Depp) as he struggles with writer's block and a failing marriage. He meets Sylvia (Kate Winslet), a widow and her four young boys who inspire him to create the magical world of Neverland, and he becomes a close friend and father figure to the children. Despite criticism from his peers and personal challenges, Barrie's imagination and friendship with the boys lead him to create one of the most beloved stories of all time. The movie explores themes of creativity, friendship, and the power of imagination.
